Day-by-day itinerary
Hanoi → the bay marina → Halong Bay
Boarding takes place at midday at the bay marina. Once the vessel clears the harbour, lunch is served while the limestone islands begin to appear on either side. The afternoon is built around two activities: kayaking or taking a bamboo boat through the karst formations at water level, and visiting a cave accessible directly from the water. By early evening the cruise reaches its overnight anchorage. Sunset plays out from the deck, and dinner follows — a full meal served on board as the bay settles into darkness around the boat.
Hanoi hotel pick-up (optional shuttle)
Transfer from your Hanoi Old Quarter hotel to the bay marina (~2.5h drive). The hotel ⇄ pier transfer is not bundled in the cabin rate.
Boarding & welcome
Check-in at the lounge, board the cruise, welcome drink and a safety briefing while the boat sets sail into the bay.
Lunch while cruising
A multi-course lunch served on board as the cruise heads into the limestone seascape.
Kayaking & swimming
Kayak or take a bamboo boat into a quiet lagoon, swim from a small beach, and visit a cave by the water.

A full day deeper into Halong Bay
The second day is the itinerary's longest stretch on the water, moving deeper into the bay. The programme reaches a fishing village, which can be explored by bicycle, and continues to a hidden beach where guests can stop and walk the shoreline. A further cave is part of the afternoon's route. Meals continue full-board on the vessel. As evening approaches, the cruise returns to its anchorage position for a second night on the bay, giving guests a second chance to watch the light fade over the limestone towers.
Sunrise tai chi
An optional sunrise tai chi session on deck, followed by tea and a light breakfast.
Village & national park
Tender to a fishing village or island, explore by bicycle or on foot, and learn how the bay communities live.
Lunch & afternoon activities
Lunch on board, then kayaking, a hidden beach, or a cave further from the main routes.
Dinner & evening on board
Dinner, an evening activity (squid fishing or a film on deck) and a second overnight on the bay.
Morning on the bay → the bay marina → Hanoi
Morning on the second overnight begins early, with the option to join a tai-chi session on deck as the bay is still quiet. Breakfast is served on board. Departure from the bay is in the late morning, allowing time to sit with the landscape one final time before the vessel returns to the marina. Disembarkation leads directly to the arranged transfer back toward Hanoi.
